Winners in the best sword and best dagger categories

The 2009 Knife-makers Guild Show that is held annually was, once again, a show that would be the topic of many knife-making enthusiasts’ conversation for the next few months.

We thoroughly enjoyed talking to our many friends, students and supporters that visited our exhibition. Our new innovations and ideas attracted a lot of attention. Due to our dedication and love for knife-making our machines are now dominating the knife-making scene both locally and international. We are exporting more machines than a year ago, even during the economic recession we are all facing.

Both Thinus and Gawie won a prize for the knives they have entered. Thinus won the Best Sword Category with an unique sword and Gawie won the Best Dagger Category with his beautiful dagger. Herbst Knife-making Academy also won the prize for the category Best Table Display (a special thank you to our silent partner, Jeanie Herbst for this
